We recognise that good environmental stewardship goes hand in hand with our activities, and understand that our operations may have a significant impact on the environment. As such we believe that practical concern for the environment is an integral and fundamental part of our activities and is of importance to our customers and the communities which we serve.

Linden Foods Ltd are committed to promoting continual improvement of our environmental performance and to the prevention of pollution through the design and operation of our activities. We endeavour to achieve this through the development and implementation of an environmental management system. This is the mechanism through which we identify where controls are required, provide the necessary environmental training and set, review and implement timetabled environmental objectives and targets.

Traditional areas of environmental concern in our industry sector include waste management and energy efficiency issues.

We seek to comply with relevant environmental legislation, regulations and other requirements, concerning our activities whilst operating efficiently, cost effectively and with minimum disruption to the environment. We undertake close liaison with relevant authorities and agencies in order to meet our environmental aims.

The environmental policy has been defined by the senior management of Linden Foods Limited, is reviewed for continuing suitability at regular intervals, and has been communicated to all employees and those working on behalf of the company.
